How To Focus On Results, Not Outcomes

Those two words might sound interchangeable, but they aren’t. Outcomes are dispassionate and static, but results change and offer opportunity for differentiation.
For those who don’t know, Snakes and Ladders is a game of absolute chance and randomness. You roll the dice and move that number of spaces. If you hit a snake you are moved back down. If you get a ladder you move up. Life is a bit like a game of snakes and ladders.
My plea to all the content creators out there who pride themselves on how many followers they have – don’t create followers, help people become leaders.
It’s entirely possible that you aren’t doing much, if any, REAL work.
Despairing against yourself and getting the job done at all costs might make you feel good when you finally get the work done, but in the end it trains you to react in the same way to work you don’t feel like doing right now: with despair.
